چکیده
Raising vegetable seedlings in pro trays is becoming an innovative approach to producing quality horticulture. The present investigation was conducted evaluate the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) Glomus bagyarajii and potassium (K) solubilizing bacterium Frateuria aurantia singly together enhancing growth capsicum raised under polyhouse conditions. Different parameters such as shoot root length, total seedling stem diameter, dry weight seedlings, biovolume index, plant strength, vigour macro micronutrient uptake, colonization, population F. zone soil were monitored. Significantly higher index recorded treatments inoculated with G. alone, followed by alone. Most significantly less dual treatment + compared single inoculation either them. This brings out negative influence two inoculants on each other leading a reduced growth.

The Effect of the Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (AM) Fungus Glomus intraradices on the Growth and Yield of Chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) Under Salinity Stress
The present investigation was aimed at determining the effects of arbuscular mycorrhiza on growth and yield of chilli plants grown under salinity condition. Seeds of chilli were sown in sand beds in size 5×1m under shade net condition at Botanical Garden, Department of Botany, Annamalai University. Forty days old seedlings (DAS) were transplanted into pots (one seedling per pot) until the fruit...

Background: Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) have the potential to optimize the rhizospheric soil characteristics considerably thereby affecting plant growth. Objectives: The aim is to investigate the effects of fungi inoculation (Glomus intraradices) on morphological, physiological and phytochemical traits of Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis L.) under salt stress. Methods: A factorial...

The in vitro properties of semi-purified chlorophyllase (chlorophyll-chlorophyllido hydrolase, EC 3.1.1.14) from Capsicum annuum fruits have been studied. The enzyme showed an optimum of activity at pH 8.5 and 50 degrees C. Substrate specificity was studied for chlorophyll (Chl) a, Chl b, pheophytin (Phe) a and Phe b, with Km values of 10.70, 4.04, 2.67 and 6.37 microM respectively. Substrate i...

ABSTRACT- Greenhouse experiment was conducted in factorial experiment arranged as a completely randomized design (CRD) to evaluate the effect of Glomus intraradices, Pseudomonas fluorescence and soil drying on different forms of potassium (K) and the changes of clay minerals in a calcareous soil after maize planting. Treatments consisted of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungus at two levels: G0 (...
